His body is incompatible and cannot absorb it- his own acting as a poison to himself and others.He is a man of intellect and inspires to thrive through his life's work of research, he will stop at nothing to get what he wants. He has gone so far as to kidnap his victims to perform his inhumane experiments, resulting in the deaths of many. To pay his respects to their participation in his project, he consumes a part of them so that they may live on to speculate as he continues his research long after their deaths.

Backstory

Having outlasted many lifelines longer than the common Au Ra, it's likely that he was created through unnatural means. Although his laboratory records do not reveal his true origins- aside a name, it is speculated that he is likely the result of a Voidsent pact.As a child, he was seized from the ruins of Tam-Tara Deepcroft when a number of researchers and adventurers went missing after entering its grounds, prompting high level mages to investigate. Among the corpses of both people and monsters, a child with dark Aether resided in the corner; anyone who approached would be snuffed out of their life energy. Magic was used to suppress his abilities so he could be brought back to the Underground Research Facility for further study.They were able to learn of his unique Aether through their research, though they were never able to discover its origins. The darkness inside him acted as a poison to those close. In addition, a small amount resided within his right eye, destroying the cells and resulting in blindness. Extreme amounts of natural aether weaken him, so his own destroying it acted as a natural defence response.Despite the torture his body endured, Kijin did not seem bothered by the painful research. In fact, he was so intrigued by it all be began experimenting on himself. He began demanding more intense and painful treatments. When the researchers refused, he became frustrated and began killing those who did not abide by his decisions. Those who feared for their lives agreed to carry out his requests, which eventually led to Kijin gaining control of the Laboratory.With a wave of new subjects to experiment on at his disposal, he tirelessly went through all the research files, introducing intense and fearsome new procedures. After becoming intrigued by the psychological distress that his new employees experienced when carrying out his orders, he devised even harsher forms of testing to see how far he could push them before they turned to extreme measures, or even became completely numb after experiencing overwhelming trauma. Increasingly obsessed with experimentation, he opened smaller facilities throughout Eorzea, dipping into the black market to expand his connections and resources. As a result, he has been able to acquire jobs in order to expand his research specimens and employees, if he ever grow tired of them, he will sell them back to the Black Market, or dispose of them himself.In the years that have passed, he has gained extensive knowledge on controlling his abilities, actively pursuing individuals with high levels of Aether with the hope of feeling his body break down the closer he gets to them; no levels have been high enough to counteract his poison effectively enough, but he loves exploring the prospect of finding one powerful enough that could potentially kill him.In his attempts to absorb natural Aether, he has implemented numerous methods, including overexposure, sexual intercourse, and consumption, but thus far nothing has worked, instead- developing an insatiable appetite for flesh, to the point of sharpening his teeth to easily consume and digest tougher skin.

Horror/Dark I am an absolute fan of dark/horror elements in my RP. I prefer complicated morally grey characters to create intense and psychological stories.Angst, I love a lot of drama and sacrifice. Instances that permanently grow or change a character. The more hardships experienced, the closer the bond.Long-term. Even though this is my favourite kind of RP, I'm very selective on who I actually involve myself in for the long-ride. Hi there! Thanks for stumbling upon my carrd page and taking the time to look through it! Outside of RP I enjoy running content in game and making new friends. I main healer(SGE) but I'm fairly successful at DPS... maybe, it's all self proclaimed.
